How to Organize and Retrieve Your Vertical Videos

At PodTechs, we specialize in producing high-quality podcast content, including vertical short-form social videos tailored for platforms like YouTube SHORTS, LinkedIn Videos, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. While we edit these assets as part of our service, we do not provide ongoing file storage or archival services.

To help you stay organized and ensure long-term access to your videos, here’s a recommended process to follow:

Your Video Database: YouTube Studio

If your podcast content includes YouTube SHORTS or standard videos uploaded to your YouTube channel, YouTube Studio serves as your most reliable video database.

  • Every vertical video uploaded to your channel can be found in YouTube Studio > Content.

  • You can download any video directly from YouTube Studio in just a few clicks.

  • We recommend you tag or title your SHORTS clearly so you can easily find and retrieve them in the future.

  • If your team wants a copy of a previously published short-form clip, YouTube is the first place to look.

Social Platforms: LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok & Others

Each social platform has its own limitations and tools for accessing previously published videos. Here's how you can stay organized and regain access when needed:

LinkedIn

  • Video posts are available in your Activity > Posts feed.

  • However, LinkedIn does not offer a built-in download button. To save these videos:

    • Use screen recording tools, or

    • Use trusted third-party download tools or browser extensions.

Instagram

  • Your Reels and posts are stored on your profile under the Reels tab.

  • Reels can typically be saved directly to your device from the app if you're the original uploader.

  • Third-party apps like InSaver or Repost can assist with downloads.

TikTok

  • Most public videos can be downloaded natively using the Share > Save Video function.

  • If watermark-free versions are needed, tools like SnapTik or SSSTikTok may help.

Best Practices for Staying Organized

To ensure easy access to your content over time, we recommend:

  1. Maintain a simple spreadsheet or content tracker
Include video title, publish date, platform, and a direct link.

  2. Download copies at the time of publishing
Especially for LinkedIn and Instagram where download options are limited later.

  3. Store your own backups
Use Google Drive, Dropbox, or your company’s internal server to create your own library of assets.

  4. Create highlight folders
For important themes, campaigns, or guest appearances.

Reminder: PodTechs Does Not Offer File Storage

We do not store past video files or maintain a file retrieval system. Once a video is delivered or published to your account, it becomes the responsibility of you or your team to save and organize copies for future use.

For additional support on how to set up a content tracker or manage your YouTube Studio library, feel free to ask your assigned podcast technician — we’re here to help guide the process, even if we don’t store the files.
